Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik

It’s been a while. Sorry. But today I’m back with a rollicking ride for you all. Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik was an absolute treat of a book. Sci-fi can be very hit-or-miss with me, so it took me a while to wade through the TBR pile to this one. Totally worth the wait. This is a super-fun, fast-paced space opera with a smart, determined space princess and the dangerous (and often snarky) criminal she falls into a partnership with. Lots of interesting side characters and locations flesh out the world, and plenty of action and intrigue keep the plot clipping along. Even with first person POV, the banter between the leads is good, and there’s plenty of spice. The HEA is satisfying, even though the overarching series plot leaves you wanting the next book. A perfect read for anyone looking for some romance in space.
