For week 2, I’m staying in the paranormal path and sharing a forever favorite, Soulless, by Gail Carriger.
If you’re looking for a series to binge, this is one to dive into. Not only is Soulless the first of a series, but it has a prequel series, a sequel series, spin-off novellas, and more. This is truly a world to get lost in. Soulless takes place in a steampunk world with vampires and werewolves, but despite that, it’s not a world of darkness and angst. There’s still drama, and plenty of action and adventure, but there’s also tons of humor, quirkiness, silly names, and tea. Soulless and its related books are stories that contain serious elements, yet never take themselves too seriously. You’ll laugh and feel warm and fuzzy when it’s all over.
You might like this book if you like:
-quirky humor
-steampunk with a lighter vibe
-plentiful positive LGBTQ+ rep
-fantasy with a strong romance arc

I have many copies of this book, but here I’m showing off my fancy illustrated edition, along with a mini parasol. Because one ought not go anywhere unarmed against sun or foe.
